Rhode Island 9/11 Wall of Hope installation at new location underway

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island 9/11 Wall of Hope monument has been restored, and now the installation process to move it to its new site will begin.

The big step comes as the United States recognizes the 22nd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The Wall of Hope will now be located between the entrance to the Amica Mutual Pavilion and the Rhode Island Convention Center.

The project came to $500,000. All of the money to get the monument restored and moved was donated by Ocean State residents and businesses.

The newly restored Wall of Hope will include 90 frames along Sabin Street for visitors to reflect and remember the lives lost in the tragedy 22 years ago today.
