Rhode Island health officials reopen two beaches for swimming

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health said Monday that two beaches can reopen for swimming.
Health officials recommended that the Ginny-B Campground Beach in Foster and the Kent County YMCA Beach in Warwick can reopen after the water at both beaches returned to safe levels.
The department will continue to check the water quality at Rhode Island beaches through Labor Day.
People are advised to check the department’s most recent data before heading to the water, as the status of beaches can change throughout the summer.
