ABC6 News has learned a Rhode Islander has died while hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, in Estes Park, Colorado.

The victim, identified in a Denver Post newspaper article as 29 year-old Jeffrey R. Rosinski, was found early Friday morning on Long's Peak, near sections known as 'The Trough' and 'The Ledges', about 13,000 feet in elevation.

A spokesman for Rocky Mountain National Park says it appears Rosinski fell sometime after 7PM Thursday night, and fell nearly 300 feet. The victim was at the park with three other people, but is though to have been alone when he fell.
