Rhode Island’s White House ornament manufacturer being recognized

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) —  A small business in Rhode Island is one of the largest ornament manufacturers in the United States.

Beacon Design, a division of ChemArt, was recognized as the “Best Christmas Ornament Supplier,” by the readers of Gifts & Decorative Magazine.

They won the award despite being a small business running against larger companies.

ChemArt has been in business since 1976, and manufacturing the White House Historical Association ornament for the past 42 years!

They are so popular that you’ve probably either seen their ornaments, or have one in your home.

Ana Lopes, vice president of Marketing and Sales for Beacon Design, commented on the award saying, “It’s truly remarkable that the largest ornament program of it’s kind in the U.S. is made in the smallest state and we could not do what we do here without our loyal employees and clients.”

Hundreds of thousands of ornaments are handmade every year in the Ocean State.

Lopes said the companies success all comes down to the team and customers and “from having the best creative minds in the industry, coupled with world class service and phenomenal partnerships with our clients.”
