RI announces 1,000 additional COVID-19 vaccination appointments in South County

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Governor Dan McKee and the Rhode Island Department of Health announced an additional 1,000 COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

The appointments will be posted on vaccinateRI.org at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Department of Health said the appointment slots will be available for the state-run clinic in West Kingston at 132 Fairgrounds Road for this upcoming Monday.

The West Kingston site opened on Saturday, becoming the state’s fourth mass-vaccination site.

Vaccine eligibility is available throughout the state for those who are 60 to 64, people ages 16 to 64 with certain underlying health conditions, and people who were eligible in Phase 1.
