RI announces 145 new cases of COVID-19, one fatality
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health released the latest COVID-19 numbers on Wednesday, revealing 145 new positive cases and one additional fatality.
This brings Rhode Island’s death toll to 1,126.
According to the Department of Health 9,524 tests were taken on Tuesday, with a percent positive of 1.5%.
The amount of Rhode Islanders currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 increased to 107 people. 10 are in ICU, and five are on a ventilator.
The total number of positive cases in Rhode Island is now 25,776.
Governor Gina Raimondo and Health Director Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott will provide their weekly coronavirus briefing Wednesday at 1 p.m.
