RI Board of Elections rules in favor of Democratic party over Raimondo ad

The Board of Elections has ruled in favor of the state Democratic part over a Jack Reed campaign ad that featured gubernatorial candidate Gina Raimondo. The ad mostly featured Raimondo.

A closed door session was held in the matter Wednesday afternoon.

Republicans had filed a complaint calling the ad illegal. They had said the ad was a way to skirt local and federal election laws in order to give Raimondo extra exposure.

Attorney’s for the Republic Party say they haven’t yet decided if they will repeal this decision.
