RI field hospitals discharge final patients

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Both the Convention Center Field Hospital and the Cranston Field Hospital have no remaining patients.

RIDOH spokesman Joseph Wendelken told ABC6 that there are no longer patients in either of the field hospitals.

The Cranston location was expected to close in two or three weeks, but Wendelken said that the last patient was discharged Friday afternoon.

Neither hospital will be accepting new patients. Instead, they’ll be gearing up for vaccination.
