Sandy Hook tribute video features RI girl

A 10-year-old girl from Chepachet is featured in a national tribute video to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting.

Samantha Baril, a sixth grader from Chepachet is featured in the tribute video entitled “26 angels” as one of the singers. It aims to lift the spirits of family members and friends of the victims of the tragic Dec. 14 shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Samantha is one of 20 children in the video and each holds a sign of a child who was killed in the shooting. Samantha represents angel, 7-year-old Grace McDonnell. McDonnell

In addition to the children who were killed, the six adults that died are represented by their images on screen during the video.

The project was created by Ben Proulx of New Hampshire and it features a song written by Justin Cohen, a graduate of Berklee College of Music.
