RI Man to be Arraigned Wednesday in Rape Case
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – A Rhode Island man is set to appear in court on charges he and two others sexually assaulted a mentally disabled woman who had gone missing from Cumberland earlier this year.
Antone Perry of Pawtucket is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Providence County Superior Court on a first-degree sexual assault charge. The 50-year-old Perry and co-defendants, 43-year-old Juan Evora and 21-year-old Evan McLain, were indicted earlier this month on the same charges.
Perry's defense attorney Donna Uhlmann has said her client is innocent.
Prosecutors allege the woman was sexually assaulted from Aug. 27 to Sept. 9 in Pawtucket.
