RI reports 298 new cases of COVID-19, 3 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 298 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday.

Health officials said there were three additional deaths since Monday. This brings Rhode Island’s death toll to 2,606.

Out of the 10,420 tests taken on Monday, the state reported a positivity rate of 2.9%.

There are currently 118 Rhode Islanders hospitalized, 15 are in the ICU and 12 are on a ventilator.

Since December, 174,391 residents have been fully vaccinated.
