RI reports 318 new positive cases of COVID-19, 3 additional deaths
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Department of Health reported 318 new cases of the coronavirus Tuesday.
Health officials said out of the 12,649 COVID-19 tests taken Monday, the state collected a positivity rate of 2.5%.
Three more people died, bringing the states death toll to 2,654.
A total of 153 Rhode Islanders are currently hospitalized for the virus. 30 of these patients are in ICU and 23 are on a ventilator.
This comes one day after Rhode Island expanded eligibility to all residents 16 years of age and older.
