RI reports 449 new cases of COVID-19, three additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Health officials in Rhode Island released the state’s latest COVID-19 data on Wednesday.

The Department of Health reported 449 positive cases of the coronavirus and an additional three deaths since Tuesday.

Out of the 19,213 tests taken on Tuesday, the state reported a positivity rate of 2.3%.

The three deaths bring Rhode Island’s death toll to 2,635.

Since mid-December, 267,992 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized for the virus.
