RI reports 605 new cases of COVID-19, 8 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – On Tuesday, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced the state has 605 new positive cases of COVID-19 and eight new deaths.

Rhode Island is reporting 9,709 tests were administered on Monday, with a positivity rate of 6.2%.

The eight new deaths set the State’s death rate to 1,278.

Out of the 265 Rhode Islanders hospitalized, 22 are in ICU and 10 are on a ventilator.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 44,528.
