RI Stands to Pull In $1B in Revenue if America’s Cup Returns

Rhode Island stands to be a big winner if the America's Cup returns to Newport.

The Newport County Chamber of Commerce released its economic impact report this morning, revealing that RI stands to make over a billion dollars in revenue if the race returns to Fort Adams State Park.

First @ Four today, RI Economic Development Corporation Keith Stokes says he's still very confident that the race will return to RI.  Stokes also disputed reports that the state isn't going to get some critical paperwork in on time.
