RI State Police investigating crash that sparked fire at U-Haul Storage in Pawtucket
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said one person was hospitalized with serious, life-threatening injuries after a fiery crash in Pawtucket.
According to police, a pickup truck was traveling north on Route-95 just before the exit for Lonsdale Avenue and Main Street when the driver lost control.

Officials said the truck left the roadway, struck two poles then continued up the exit ramp where it struck a guard rail and came to rest.
The truck caught fire and became engulfed in flames shortly after. Authorities said the fire caused the U-Haul Storage building at 1 Newell Ave. to sustain damage as well.
The Pawtucket Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze and the one occupant of the truck was taken to Rhode Island hospital for serious and life-threatening injuries.
State police are still investigating the crash.
