RI Unemployment Rate Rises Slightly in November

Rhode Island's unemployment rate rose slightly from October 2010 to November, according to the state Department of Labor and Training.

November's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 11.6%, two-tenths of a percentage point higher than October of this year.  Nationally the unemployment rate rose by the same amount to 9.8%.

66,100 Rhode Islanders were reported unemployed last month, an increase of 800 from October.
