Rhode Island College has a new interim president.

Clark Greene is taking over for current president Nancy Carriuolo, who’s leaving her post at the end of May.

She says the reason is criticism over her administration. Late last year, a group of current and former RIC employees sent a letter calling for her resignation.

Since 2014, Greene has served as interim vice president for advancement and external relations.

A new RIC president is expected to be on board before the start of school in September.
