RIC employee tests positive for COVID-19

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – Rhode Island College announced one of its staff members tested positive for coronavirus.

The employee, who last worked on March 26, according to RIC, attempted to report to work on March 30 before being sent home.

The college said the employee did not pass the visual-verbal health screening protocol.

The employee’s work station was sanitized the college’s housekeeping staff

According to their protocol, The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) has initiated contact tracing and will reach out to people the employee may have been in contact with.

RIC says they are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to work wit RIDOH regarding their next steps
