RIDOH and Office of the Attorney General to hold second public comment meeting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health and Office of the Attorney General have scheduled public comment meetings on the proposed merger between Lifespan and Care New England.

The merger would create an integrated academic health system, with Brown University.

House minority leader Blake Filippi, shared a strong opposition to the plan, which he called a ‘monopoly’ in his response to the state of the state.

The second of two public comment meetings will be held on Wednesday, January 26.

Wednesday’s meeting will be from 3-5p.m. on zoom.
