RIDOH announces 701 positive COVID-19 cases; 4 new fatalities

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) The Rhode Island Department of Health announced 701 new positive cases of coronavirus on Tuesday.

There were four new fatalities associated with the virus, bringing the state’s total to 1,237.

Currently, there are 218 people hospitalized in the state, with 27 individuals in the Intensive Care Unit and 17 on a ventilator.

There were 9,379 tests performed on Monday, giving the state a test positive rate of 7.5 percent.
