RIDOH announces that over 500,000 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 318 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday.

Health officials said out of the 19,275 tests administered on Wednesday, the state collected a 1.6% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported two additional deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,660.

There are currently 140 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 23 of these patients are in the ICU while 20 are on a ventilator.

Since mid-December, 500,595 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 340,575 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.

The total amount of doses administered sits at 803,757.
