RIDOH recommends reopening Camp Canonicus Beach

EXETER, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health announced Monday that it recommends reopening Camp Canonicus Beach in Exeter, as bacteria levels have returned to safe levels.

The beach was closed on August 10 due to high bacteria count in the water.

Department officials said they will continue to monitor the quality of beach waters through Labor Day.
