RIDOH recommends reopening Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health announced its recommending Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth be reopened.
Officials said the swim spot should reopen as bacterial counts in the water have returned to safe levels.
The department said it will continue to monitor beach water quality through Labor Day.
