RIDOH releases data on COVID-19 cases and deaths at nursing homes

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health has released data on the infection and death rates for COVID-19 at the state’s nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

 

The data confirms that the majority of the state’s 189 COVID-19 fatalities have occurred among residents of nursing facilities.

Among the hardest hit has been Golden Crest in North Providence, with between 95 and 99 cases and 25 to  29 fatalities.

Orchard View Manor in East Providence has had between 125 and 129 cases, with between 30 and 34 deaths.

Oak Hill Health Center in Pawtucket has had between 75 and 80 cases, with 15 to 19 deaths resulting.

Summit Commons in Providence has had between 75 and 80 positive cases, but only between five and nine deaths, according to the data.

The site provides a wide array of data, including deaths and hospitalizations by race, and a model of best and worst case scenarios for hospitalizations in the state.
