RIDOH reopens 2 beaches for swimming
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health said two beaches that were closed to swimming yesterday have been reopened.
The department said that Kent County YMCA Beach in Warwick and Camp Hoffman Beach in Kingston are once again safe for swimming as water quality tests show bacteria levels back to a safe level.
Officials said they will continue to monitor the bacteria levels and water quality through Labor Day.
