RIDOH reports 106 new cases and 7 additional deaths as Phase 2 set to begin Monday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The RIDOH reported 106 new cases and 7 additional deaths for the state on Sunday.

The state has had 14,928 cumulative positive cases of COVID-19 and the death toll stands at 718.

On Saturday, 3,979 people were tested for the coronavirus in the state.

206 people are currently hospitalized, 46 of them are in the ICU and 29 are on a ventilator.

Thus far throughout the pandemic, 154,493 people have been tested for the virus.

The state begins Phase 2 of reopening the economy Monday, where businesses such as salons and gyms will reopen and restaurants can begin indoor dining.
