RIDOH reports 123 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health updated the state’s COVID-19 data Tuesday adding 123 new cases and one death.

There were 4,558 COVID-19 tests recorded on Monday with a positive rate of 2.7%.

The positive rate was 7.1% for those who tested positive the first time.

There are 80 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 14 are in the ICU, and 6 people are on a ventilator. The 3-day average of people hospitalized in Rhode Island for COVID-19 now stands at 80.

There have been 19,390 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Rhode Island since March and the state’s death toll is at 1,011, according to RIDOH’s COVID-19 data.
