RIDOH reports 146 new cases of COVID-19, 2 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 146 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday.

Health officials said out of the 14,297 tests administered on Tuesday, the state collected a 1%% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported two additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 2,696.

There are currently 101 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 21 of these patients are in the ICU while 16 are on a ventilator.
Since mid-December, 596,133 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 467,369 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.

The total amount of doses administered sits at 1,024,027.
