RIDOH reports 167 new cases and 2 additional deaths since Friday
PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 167 new coronavirus cases and 2 related deaths since Friday.
This brings the new state total to 21,949 cases and 1,048 deaths.
Currently 77 people remain hospitalized for the virus, with 9 in the ICU, and 5 requiring a ventilator.
The state has conducted 524,414 tests for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
Governor Raimondo is expected to address the state at 1:00 p.m. where she is expected to give a decision on how students will return to school this fall.
