RIDOH reports 182 new cases of COVID-19, 2 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 182 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday.

Health officials said out of the 13,766 tests administered on Thursday, the state collected a 1.3% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported two additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 2,687.

There are currently 113 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 23 of these patients are in the ICU while 18 are on a ventilator.
Since mid-December, 584,379 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 433,399 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.

The total amount of doses administered sits at 979,267.
