RIDOH reports 219 new COVID-19 cases, 5 additional deaths


PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 219 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Health officials said out of the 5,215 tests administered the state collected a 4.2% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported 5 additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 3,393.

There are currently 193 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 26 of these patients are in the ICU while 15 are on a ventilator.
