RIDOH reports 264 new cases of COVID-19, 1 additional death

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 264 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday.

Health officials said out of the 19,066 tests administered on Wednesday, the state collected a 1.4%% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported one additional death, bringing the state’s total to 2,669.

There are currently 150 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 32 of these patients are in the ICU while 20 are on a ventilator.
Since mid-December, 543,267 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 375,598 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.

The total amount of doses administered sits at 881,405.
