RIDOH reports 264 new cases of COVID-19, 9 new fatalities since Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health has reported nine new deaths and 264 new cases of COVID-19 since last reported on Friday.

This brings the total positive cases in Rhode Island to 23,932. The total number of fatalities is now 1,097.

The daily positivity rate on Monday increased to 2.4%, after being at 1.5% on Friday, the Health Department reports.

RIDOH reports that since Friday, 78 Rhode Islanders are currently hospitalized, 10 are in ICU, and 4 are on a ventilator.
