RIDOH reports 2,701 new COVID-19 cases, 15 additional deaths

RIDOH (WLNE)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 2,701 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Health officials said out of the 21,346 tests administered the state collected a 12.7% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported 15 additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 3,215.

There are currently 547 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 42 of these patients are in the ICU while 31 are on a ventilator.
