RIDOH reports 304 new cases of COVID-19, 4 more deaths


PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Rhode Island reported four more deaths and 304 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Health officials said out of the 20,160 tests taken on Tuesday, the state collected a positivity rate of 1.5%.

The four additional fatalities bring the state’s death toll to 2,668.

According to the Department of Health, 148 Rhode Islanders are hospitlized for the virus.

Of those patients, 34 are in the ICU and 24 are on a ventilator.

So far, 537,618 first doses of the vaccine have been administered. A total of 366,525 Rhode Islanders are fully vaccinated.
