RIDOH reports 306 new coronavirus cases, three new deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 306 new coronavirus cases and three new deaths for Tuesday.

According to RIDOH data, hospitalizations and deaths are trending downward. This week, the number of fatalities has remained below 100 for the first time since August.

Rhode Island does remain in high transmission.

There are 97 Rhode Islanders currently hospitalized for the virus. Thirteen of them are in the ICU, and nine are on a ventilator.

So far, 785,126 Rhode Islanders have gotten at least one vaccine dose. RIDOH reports 721,390 people have completed a primary vaccine series.
