RIDOH reports 334 new cases of COVID-19, one additional death
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 334 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday.
Health officials said out of the 17,450 tests administered on Thursday, the state collected a 1.9% positivity rate.
Rhode Island reported one additional death, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,595.
There are currently 129 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 18 of these patients are in the ICU while 11 are on a ventilator.
Since mid-December, 288,402 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 146,194 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.
The total amount of doses administered sits at 426,082.
