RIDOH reports 360 new cases of COVID-19, 6 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 360 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday.

Health officials said out of the 20,627 tests administered on Wednesday, the state collected a 1.7% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported 6 additional fatalities, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,594.

There are currently 125 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 17 of these patients are in the ICU while 13 are on a ventilator.

Since mid-December, 282,304 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 136,515 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.

The total amount of doses administered sits at 411,490.
