RIDOH reports 383 new cases of COVID-19, 5 additional deaths
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 383 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday.
Health officials said out of the 18,109 tests administered on Wednesday, the state collected a 2.1% positivity rate.
Rhode Island reported five additional deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,624.
There are currently 131 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 15 of these patients are in the ICU while nine are on a ventilator.
Since mid-December, 347,282 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 229,468 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.
The total amount of doses administered sits at 562,752.
