RIDOH reports 40 new positive COVID-19 cases, 8 deaths for Thursday

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health added 40 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths to the state’s COVID-19 data Thursday.
The state’s COVID-19 death toll is at 920.
The additional cases and deaths were a result from the 3,141 COVID-19 tests that were recorded Wednesday.
According to RIDOH data, there are currently 103 people in the hospital, 18 in the ICU, and 17 require a ventilator.
Rhode Island has seen 16,640 positive cases and 228,140 people have gotten tested since March for COVID-19, according to RIDOH data.
