RIDOH reports 4,287 new COVID-19 cases, 8 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 4,287 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Health officials said out of the 26,115 tests administered the state collected a 16.4% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported 8 additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 3,144.

There are currently 459 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 52 of these patients are in the ICU while 36 are on a ventilator.
