RIDOH reports 45 new deaths and 2,419 new cases since Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health releasing the state’s COVID-19 data from over the weekend. There have been 45 new fatalities and 2,419 new positive cases reported since Friday.

Currently 459 people are hospitalized for the virus in the state. The daily positivity rate is 5.8 percent.

Since the start of the pandemic 1,670 have died from this virus and 80,231 have tested positive.

The latest data reveals that 4,827 have received a COVID-19 vaccination.
