RIDOH reports 466 new cases of COVID-19, 2 additional fatalities

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported Wednesday that the State has 466 new positive cases of COVID-19, and two fatalities.
The death toll in Rhode Island now stands at 1,214.
RIDOH recorded 12,892 tests were taken the prior day, with a positivity rate of 3.6%.
There are currently 177 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. 24 are in ICU and 12 are on a ventilator.
Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo is set to hold her weekly coronavirus briefing on Thursday at 1 p.m.
