RIDOH reports 5 COVID-19 related deaths and 180 new cases over past 3 days

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – RIDOH reports 180 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 5 additional COVID-19 related deaths since Friday.

Currently 61 people are in the hospital receiving treatment for the virus, with 2 patients in the ICU, and 2 patients on a ventilator.

A total of 995 people have died as a result of the coronavirus and 17,904 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

Sunday, 2,465 people were tested for the virus.

Governor Raimondo will address the state on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
