RIDOH reports 50 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths Thursday

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 50 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths Thursday.

Rhode Island’s death toll is now at 885, according to RIDOH.

There are 126 people in the hospital with COVID-19,  23 in the ICU, and 13 require a ventilator.

According to state health data, 2,826 COVID-19 tests were recorded on Wednesday.

RIDOH’s data indicates that 211,593 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Rhode Island. With 16,269 people testing positive throughout the pandemic.
