RIDOH reports 61 new cases and 2 additional COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) reports 61 new cases and 2 additional COVID-19 related deaths.

That brings Rhode Island’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,007 and 18,800 cumulative cases since March.

There were 3,354 COVID-19 tests conducted on Tuesday.

There are currently 74 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 12 are in the ICU, and 6 people require a ventilator.

RIDOH says the percent of positive tests from Tuesday was 1.9%.

The state has conducted 356,186 COVID-19 tests, according to their COVID-19 data. 

Governor Raimondo will address the state with the latest on the state’s response to the pandemic, Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
