RIDOH reports 95 new coronavirus cases, 2 new deaths over Memorial Day weekend


PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 95 new cases and two new deaths over Memorial Day weekend.

These new numbers bring the state’s total cases to 151,844.

Rhode Island reported two additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 2,712.

There are currently 49 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 11 of these patients are in the ICU and 9 are on a ventilator.

Since mid-December, 652,847 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 554,636 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.
