RIDOH working with assisted-living facility after COVID-19 outbreak in Alzheimer’s Unit

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) -The Atria Lincoln Place assisted-living facility is dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak in their memory-care unit, a spokesperson for the Department of Health confirmed on Wednesday.
RIDOH said residents were tested on Tuesday, and received the positive results on Wednesday. Roughly 15 of the 21 residents in the memory-care unit have tested positive for the virus.
The facility is working with RIDOH to cohort cases, review and enhance infection control measures, and quarantine all contacts. Additionally, there will be continued serial testing of staff members and residents.
