WAKEFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — A program administrator for the Rhode Island Department of Health has been charged with possession of child pornography.

Rhode Island State Police said they arrested Jeffrey Hill Tuesday on one count of possession of child pornography and one count of child erotica prohibited.

Police said that Hill, who’s 46 years old, is the youth suicide prevention project manager for the Department of Health.

Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force said they learned that child pornography was being upload to an email server connected to a Wakefield home.

Police said a warrant was executed Tuesday and that they arrested Hill on the charges after it was determined he was using the email account.

Hill was arraigned Tuesday and was released after posting bail. He was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors and to have restricted internet access.

“RIDOH was notified by State Police earlier today, and he has been placed on administrative leave,” a spokeswoman told ABC 6 News. “Because this involves a pending legal and HR matter, we cannot comment any further.”
